While we know that many of you are exercising caution, we want to encourage you to try and maintain your pet’s normal routine as much as possible. Regular socialization and exercise are extremely important for dogs and dramatic changes to their day-to-day life can compound anxiety and stress for your pup.
Safety and cleanliness in our store have always been a top priority for The Urban Dog, and our professional staff works hard to ensure our location provides a fun and healthy environment for every visitor— Our Cleaning protocol remains top notch with the grooming spa area cleaned throughout the day including crates and grooming tables using sanitary-grade cleaning products. Retail areas also include stringent cleaning protocol to ensure sanitary surfaces.
Panic buying and hoarding – We have spoken to our food suppliers about food supply in the USA and they have confirmed with us they have plenty of back stock along with standing orders from their food vendors and there is no expected interruption. Our distributor has also restricted all pet supply stores from panic buying and committed to cutting orders that are above a company’s average order size. In short there is plenty of long term food supply for your pets at The Urban Dog we’re here for you!
Your Pet, according to the World Health Organization and the CDC, To date, CDC has not received any reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19. At this time, there is no evidence that companion animals including pets can spread COVID-19. So give’m a hug!
Finally, The Urban Dog is a small, local business that depends on our regular clients. Our commitment to our staff means we strive to provide competitive compensation, a healthy, fun environment with great customers to share our services with. While many businesses will undoubtedly be affected by the current uncertainty, our services could be impacted with the spread of fear over the COVID-19 virus when people disrupt their lives and routines. The groomers, and retail team members who take such good care of your pups are all affected by booking cancellations or reductions in foot traffic.
